Audra Receives the Beacon of Hope Award

On June 18, Covenant House International presented Audra with their prestigious Beacon of Hope Award for her dedication to raising awareness and advocating for homeless youth. The award was presented at the annual Night of Broadway Stars benefit gala at Jazz at Lincoln Center by special guests Christine Baranski, Rosie O’Donnell, Lonny Price, and Kate Walsh. Audra’s husband, Will Swenson, and her daughter, Zoe Donovan, also gave special tributes. Audra McDonald on The Late, Late Show with James Corden

Audra McDonald joined host James Corden and Beauty and the Beast co-star Dan Stevens in “Inappropriate Musicals” on The Late, Late Show. Traversing Taxi Driver, The Shape of Water, and A Quiet Place, the performances showcased films that should never be made into musicals.

Later in the show, Audra sat down to talk about her role on The Good Fight and North American tour of her latest album, Sing Happy. They were joined in conversation by Billy Eichner who was promoting his initiative, Glam Up The Midterms, to encourage Millenials to vote this November. Catch the full episode here.

The show came on the heels of her appearance on The Talk and performance at LA Opera.
